Description

The lodge is located in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National park. Nestled along the banks of a seasonal river, Royal Legend's 8 luxurious chalets all command a magnificent view of the watercourse and the surrounding lush vegetation. All suites have a private deck area, are air conditioned and feature Jacuzzi baths, mini-bars and indoor and outdoor showers.

The lounge and dining areas overlook the riverbed and waterhole, which is lit at night to enhance game viewing. The Lodge Spa offers luxurious facilities in beautiful surroundings where massages, manicures, pedicures and facials ensure pampering and the ultimate relaxing experience. A large jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and equipped gym are available to complete the experience.

A superb wine cellar holding the best of South Africa's world-renowned wines is found down a spiral staircase that winds down a carved leadwood log. A large picture window gives the opportunity to sip fine wine while studying activity at the waterhole.

Kruger Park - Tamboti (Website)

Tamboti tented camp is a small camp situated on the banks of the Timbavati River, on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park, approximately 2 km east of Orpen Rest Camp. Due to the size and location of this camp, Tamboti is one of the most popular camps in the Park. A great feature is a boma, which makes it ideal for small groups of people to gather around the campfire and relive the animal sightings of the day. For the birding enthusiasts, Tamboti offers a bird hide in which to spend hours looking for that exclusive raptor that has up to now eluded you. The natural bush feeling is kept inside the camp, which has the result of emphasizing guest privacy.
