WARTHOG REST PRIVATE LODGE is situated in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate - Hoedspruit [Limpopo] Situated 70 km from Orpen gate's entrance to the Kruger Park. This lodge is extremely private and secluded. No noise allowed. Tourism graded 4*. Self-cater lodge fitted with all the necessities and quality cutlery. Dishwasher. Two double bedrooms [en-suite]; two twin bedrooms [en-suite]; can accommodate max. 10 people. Price R350.00pppn per night sharing; R400 pppn single occupancy. Kids under 2yrs free; children under 10yrs R250pppn flat rate. No min. stay. No min. persons to occupy the lodge as the lodge is not priced on a flat rate per night. Wild animal life on your doorstep and sips at your pool! Best bedding, beds, pillows and duvets. Hoedspruit shopping centre is an experience not to be missed. LOTS of very original curious AND unusual shopping 'mall' - the mall itself gives a super holiday feeling. Visit Hoedspruit's own Desperate Housewives' gift and delicatessen shop - each gift is VERY original and especially women cannot get enough of the artful display, except when the money runs out!

Warthogs, monkeys, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, impala and waterbuck are seen all the time. Jackal and owl calls at night make a heavenly soundtrack. A bird feeder with fruits are available in the bush terrain of the lodge. Bird life galore! There is a leopard or two seen [on some occasions] although they are very scarce. No fences exist between Kapama and the estate and animals roam freely. The wildlife comes very close to the lodge and lapa-area but you will not have a problem with the monkeys. Sips at your pool is an everyday occurence in the summer time. Game drives on the estate available and this must be booked in advance. Game drives at another wildlife sanctuary 4km from the lodge estate is also available and must be booked in advance.

The idyllic Letaba Rest Camp is situated on a sweeping bend of the Letaba River, midway between the southern and northern boundaries of the Kruger National Park. The name means "river of sand", and the sandy riverbed is an excellent location for game viewing, particularly elephant, which thrive in the area. Letaba is a green oasis in the surrounding mopane veld, and remains a firm favourite with visitors. At night the stars overlook a symphony of sounds. Owls, nightjars, frogs, fruit bats, crickets and cicadas all vie to be heard, until the lion roars, then all are silent.
