Description The Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate is a beautiful residential wildlife reserve a few hundred metres out of the town of Hoedspruit. It's a great base for exploring the beauty that nature offers in this area, ranging from the world renowned Kruger National Park, and a selection of private game reserves, to the Blyde Dam and Canyon (3rd largest Canyon in the world. You can walk, jog or cycle on the estate, go for a game drive, spot birds from one of the hides overlooking the dams, or simply sit on your patio and let the game come to you. The estate is stocked with a variety of plains game, but jackal, hyena, buffalo, leopard and sometimes even lion are spotted from time to time. Accommodation on the estate is in private bush lodges, ranging from 4 sleeper (2 bedroom) units to the 8 sleeper lodges with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms over 2 separate buildings, as well as a main lodge area with open plan kitchen / lounge / dining room. Each lodge is set on a 5000sqm stand, and is completely unfenced so wildlife can walk up right to your patio. All lodges are fully kitted out and beautifully decorated. Towels, linen, crockery and cutlery etc are all provided, and the lodges are serviced daily (excepting Sundays). Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate is conveniently located 1km outside the town of Hoedspruit, close to restaurants, shops and the many tourist attractions in the area. The Kruger National Park is just a stone's throw away, as are a number of renowned private game reserves, such as Klaserie and Timbavati. The great thing about Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate is that you don't even have to leave the estate to go on a game drive, as there are a number of game drive routes on the estate itself, including two elevated bird hides overlooking dams.
