Set in the historical and picturesque Franschhoek, Col'Cacchio Pizzeria has all the ingredients to satisfy your appetite with our legendary and healthy meals. A sophisticated upstairs bar-lounge allows for relaxed conversation over cocktails and the Cape's best wine.Meals are served downstairs in the beautifully renovated landmark pizzeria or under the oak trees outside where the gentle buzz of this famous Huguenot town is everywhere to be seen.

Franschhoek is a quaint village steeped in history dating back to the arrival of the French Huguenots in 1688 where they found freedom from religious persecution. They brought winemaking skills to the village, which, over time, has made Franschhoek one of the world's top wine producers.

Since the first store opened way back in 1992, the Col'Cacchio name has become synonymous with an incredible range of superbly crisp thin based pizzas and an impressive variety of freshly prepared salads and pastas. It's no surprise therefore that the group has steadily expanded over the years, as it has grown in popularity as well as creativityCol'Cacchio Pizzeria is special in as much as our large selection of health or vegetarian pizzas are endorsed by the Heart Foundation of South Africa. All sauces are freshly prepared and Col'Cacchio endeavour to procure organic ingredients wherever viable. In addition to the extensive menu Col'Cacchio offers wheat-free tagliatelle and wheat and gluten free pizza bases for those that have a wheat intolerance.

The pizza combinations are endless with an astounding 50 standard combinations (each with its unique Italian name) to choose from. In addition there is a comprehensive list of ingredients to create your own pizza if none of the standard 50 combinations appeal to your taste buds. The more exotic combinations include the Tre Colori with smoked salmon, sour cream and caviar, and the Fantasia with caramelized onion, Brie, and sesame seeds.For the health conscious & vegetarians, the salad selection offers enticing, colourful combinations, and it is difficult to single out just one salad as they are all equally appetising! However, couple of recommenda-
tions are the Barbitola with rocket, beetroot, mozzarella, avocado, onions & sunflower seeds, and the Scampi with prawns, pineapple, lettuce, sesame seeds, avo, cucumber, bean sprouts & Oriental dressing.Pasta lovers will enjoy the more unusual Fresca with roasted vegetables, rocket, sundried tomato, ricotta and pinenuts, or the Lamb Tortellini with osso buco sauce, red pepper and bacon.
