Description
Situated at the heart of the Cape Town's world-famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is The Greek Fisherman, a slice of taverna-style fare in a festive setting that is incomparably South African. Savour the delightful combination of traditional "meze" appetizers and a wide variety of the freshest seafood, whilst the views of the harbour and Table Mountain enrich your spirit.

Guests can either enjoy a beautiful summer's night outside eating al fresco under the wide umbrellas, or venture inside to lose themselves in the Greek mythology style mosaic tiles that adorn the walls. Warm lighting softens the cellar-like structure of the inside to create a cosy haven against the cold Cape Town winters. However an exciting new revamp to the Greek Fisherman starts end July 2008.

Some of the menu highlights are the Grilled Calamari, Mixed Meze and Greek-style Roast Lamb. Feast on the various platters of lobster, prawns, oysters, mussels and line fish, all grilled in traditional Mediterranean style. The extensive menu also has an enticing selection of chicken and pasta dishes available, plus exciting new concept in Greek cuisine will be available soon.At a recent award ceremony in Madrid, Spain, and Geneva, Switzerland, The Greek Fisherman was awarded the Coveted Spanish Wild Bull Trophy for exceptional achievement in hospitality, and the international trophy for quality.

Kruger Park - Shingwedzi
Kruger Park - Shingwedzi (Website)

Shingwedzi lies in the northern part of the Kruger National Park in the heart of mopane country. A scenic game drive along the Shingwedzi River in a south-easterly direction towards the Kanniedood Dam is one of the most rewarding drives in the Park. Waterbuck, nyala, kudu and elephant are often seen here and the bird life is prolific. Staying overnight at Shingwedzi is an experience that will last a lifetime. It is a rustic camp that still carries the essence of the bush and is untouched by modern technology. Experience magical evenings where the accommodation is arranged in two separate circles and the glow emanating from braai (barbecue) stands cast a tranquil spell.
