Description

Park's Menu is the new cosy little restaurant in Mowbray's Durban Road. The restaurant specialises in Korean cuisine and is run by South Korean husband and wife tea, Jong-Ho and Kay Park. The homely ambience, muted lighting and sublime food of this eatery makes it a must have experience.

The restaurant features unique tables that are a first in South Africa, Jong-Ho imported them directly from Korea and they can be seen in the virtual tour. Essentially they are Stove Top Tables with guests participating in cooking their own meal. The tables are a fantastic talking point and not to mention the fun of cooking your own meal, it is a great family experience!The Stove Top Meals include various options such as the Kimchi-Jeongol (a spicy stew consisting of pork, kimchi and tofu), Mix-Jeongol (a spicy stew consisting of ham, bacon, red beans, tofu and vegetables in a beef stock) or the Bulgogi (Thin succulent slices of beef, mushrooms and vegetables marinated in soy sauce and served with fresh vegetables and steamed rice).

Alternatively guests can choose something off the menu and indulge in one of the starters such as the Steamed and Fried Dumplings, followed by a gorgeous main meal of Seafood-pa-jun, a Korean style, kneaded, pancake topped with spring onions, carrots, onions, prawns, calamari, mussels and crabstick.

Korean food "places" great emphasis on Health, Park's Menu restaurant does not cook with additives or "MSG" and they do not include unnecessary oils in the food. The focus is on fresh and seasonal produce, as health is an important factor in Korean cuisine.

Kruger Park - Tamboti (Website)

Tamboti tented camp is a small camp situated on the banks of the Timbavati River, on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park, approximately 2 km east of Orpen Rest Camp. Due to the size and location of this camp, Tamboti is one of the most popular camps in the Park. A great feature is a boma, which makes it ideal for small groups of people to gather around the campfire and relive the animal sightings of the day. For the birding enthusiasts, Tamboti offers a bird hide in which to spend hours looking for that exclusive raptor that has up to now eluded you. The natural bush feeling is kept inside the camp, which has the result of emphasizing guest privacy.
