Description
Conveniently located in the centre of Fourways, Doppio Zero has plenty of secure parking right outside the door. There is a spacious outside terrace for al fresco dining (which is candle lit in the evenings) as well as an enclosed patio area which can be utilized for small intimate functions. The Doppio Zero Group are famous for their freshly baked bread and pastries, and Fourways is no exception in this regard, as an in-house state of the art bakery ensures freshly baked products every day.

The ambience is very continental with wicker baskets displaying a tempting selection of freshly baked breads, together with a large counter offering cakes, pastries and other mouth watering treats. Doppio Zero also stocks an exceptional range of Italian gelato with delectable flavours including Pistachio, Biscotti and Straccitela (with chocolate chunks). The restaurant is enormously popular for breakfast, particularly at the weekends, and offers everything from croissants and coffee to a full English breakfast for the connoisseur. You can even make up your own breakfast combination from the list of ingredients available, or opt for the health breakfast if you are watching your waistline.

The menu is impressively large, and there is an ample selection of light meals which are served throughout the day. Choose from tramezzini, sandwiches (with a choice of ciabatta, baguette, health or rye bread) or perhaps the quiche of the day. The Doppio Zero salads are exceptional and available in starter or main course portions. The Thai Chicken salad deserves special mention, and for vegetarians both the Maestro and the Roast Veg & Haloumi salads are highly recommended. Popular choices on the main course menu are the Chicken Involtini - chicken breast filed with mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms and spinach, and the Filleto Balsamico - pan fried beef fillet in a balsamic reduction with caramelized onions. The gourmet pizzas are well worth a try and the chef's speciality on the pasta side is the Gnocci di Agnello - potato gnocchi with roast lamb in a tomato wine sauce.
